Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza, born on June 26, 1984 is a comedian and actor known for her witty humor. She is April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation. Her debut came on The Jeannie Tate Show, a web series after performing improv comedy and sketches at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. Later in her career, she went on to star in Judd Apatow Funny People, Scott Pilgrim and the World. It is fitting to celebrate her birth today. Aubrey Christina Plaza was born in Wilmington Delaware the daughter of the lawyer Bernadette Plaza and the Financial Specialist David Plaza. Her mother is Irish as well as English and her father is from Puerto Rico. Plaza graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and was a Catholic girls' college in 2006 after having graduated in 2002. She served as president of the student body at her high school and participated in Wilmington Drama League productions during her time as a senior. In 2004, while in her second year of college Plaza suffered a stroke which resulted in her being diagnosed with expressive aphasia as well as a time of paralysis. The patient is now fully recovered. Plaza has been performing improv sketch comedy and a variety of other forms at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater New York City in 2004. In addition, she has presented stand-up comedy shows at the Laugh Factory and The Improv in N.Y.C. Plaza was a part of E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street as Robin Gibney, The Jeannie Tate Show with Ben Schwartz and also the debut Terrible Decisions episode. She was the Princess a satirical sci fi role on CollegeHumor Troopers. Plaza's saxophone debut was in the movie Cassorla Bona Fide, 2014. In 2012 she also made her first appearance on the saxophone during Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings. On HarmonQuest in 2016, Plaza played Hawaiian Coffee as a gnome. She played Aaron Burr, in Drunk History. And Cat Adams on Season 11, of C.B.S. Criminal Minds. It was her first time returning to her role on the 12th season of Criminal Minds. The day after her debut, Plaza appeared in An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
